Audio/Video Demagnetizer
Recording heads, capstans, and metallic guides can become magnetized from repeated use. The resulting magnetic field on these parts results in a very slight erasure of a tape each time you play it. Over time, this degrades the quality of the video and audio. The HD-880 demagnetizer will remove this magnetism. Instructions included. (Note: Do not use around video or audio tapes - the demagnetizer can partially erase recorded tapes when it is plugged in.)

Cotton Tip Cleaning Swabs

Pack of 100 extra-long cleaning swabs 6" length, wooden stick. Use with alcohol or head cleaning fluid. The long length makes these perfect for those hard-to-reach areas in cassette decks, VCRs and CD or DVD players. Use on audio heads, CD/DVD lasers, rollers, guides and other devices in the tape path.
Important note: Cotton swabs are not designed to be used on video heads, and using these swabs on a video head can easily damage the head. May be safely used on parts
of a VCR other than the video head.
CCS-100 $2.95
|
Automatic Cassette
Head Cleaner

Clean your cassette tape heads, capstan and pinch roller with this ingenious cleaning system. Unlike cassette cleaners which just use a wet cleaning tape to run past the head, this system uses the rotary movement of the tape reels to drive a wet scrubbing pad which gently rubs the head with a back-and-forth cleaning action - the same way you would do it manually! Stationary pads clean the moving pinch roller and capstan shaft at the same time! Simply wet the pads on the special cassette with the enclosed cleaning fluid. Insert the
cassette into the deck, and press play. Let run for about 20 seconds, and that's it! Extra cleaning pads and a pair of tweezers to aid in changing the pads included.
NOTE: This product assumes that your cassette player is in good working order, and that the drive reels have adequate torque. If your drive reels have low torque from age or need of maintenance, this device may not work properly for you. If while rewinding or fast-forwarding, your tapes slow down and get very sluggish near the end of the tape, you have low torque on your drive reels, and this cleaning device will probably not work in your unit.
HL-103 $3.95
