POLY Poly dust caps are made of heavy paper, coated with a poly finish. They are black in color, and have a rather shiny finish. They have a lip on the outside edge to aid in gluing them to the speaker cone. Shiny poly dust caps are often found on shiny poly type speaker cones, but may be used on any speaker for a striking effect. |

PAPER Paper dust caps are made of heavy paper. They are dark gray in color, and have a flat to slight satin finish. They have a lip on the outside edge to aid in gluing them to the speaker cone. Paper dust caps are the most common dust caps in use. |

FELT Felt dust caps are made of heavy duty pressed felt. They are black in color, and have a flat to slight satin finish. They have a lip on the outside edge to aid in gluing them to the speaker cone. Felt dust caps are attractive, and are found on many types of speakers - especially vintage speakers. |
