Your VCR may have the Audiovox, Craig, Penneys, Magnavox, or Zenith name on it instead of Goldstar. The on-line database has been setup to direct you to the proper rubber replacement kit for your VCR. Even though every precaution has been taken to assure the accuracy of the database, mistakes can be made. We have two replacement rubber kits and several common replacement new parts for these Goldstar manufactured VCRs.

MBK-10	Contains the Capstan/idler belt for these VCRs built by Goldstar. These VCRs are now old enough that a new belt should be part of routine maintenance. A worn or deteriorated belt can cause problems in playback as well as load and unload problems. Your price is $1.45. See Chassis Photo for belt placement
MBK-10P	Contains the Capstan/idler belt, this kit also contains a replacement pinch roller assembly. If the pinch roller has never been changed you probably need one. If the pinch roller has a hard glaze on it or the capstan shaft has a black buildup the pinch roller has probably been slipping. MBK-10-IG	Replacement idler gear assembly. These VCRs have a fairly high failure rate with their idler gear assembly. The most common symptom is a no play situation. Very often the VCR will play most of the time but fail occasionally. Your price is $9.50. Instructions for installation (PDF) See Chassis Photo for idler placement
MBK-10-IF	Replacement idler fork. These VCRs have a fairly high failure rate with the idler fork, under the idler assembly. The most common symptom is a no rewind situation. PR-29	Replacement pinch roller assembly. If the pinch roller has never been changed you probably need one. If the pinch roller has a hard glaze on it or the capstan shaft has a black buildup the pinch roller has probably been slipping. Your price is $11.50. See Chassis Photo for fork placement
MBK-10-TUA:	The Take Up Arm is a common source of problems in these VCRs. This arm, that pulls the tape under the pinch roller, will break, bend, or chip a tooth causing a no tape load situation. Your price is $5.00. Instructions for installation (PDF) See Chassis Photo for Arm placement
MBK-10-MSW:	The mode switch in these VCRs is not a real common problem but the VCRs are old enough now that some of the switches are going bad. A faulty mode switch can cause problems such as ejects cassette as soon as it loads, will not accept cassette, fails to load tape around head or partially loads. Your price is $10.50. Click on photo above for larger view. MBK-10-MSPC:	The mode switch in these VCRs is not a real common problem but the VCRs are old enough now that some of the switches are going bad. A faulty mode switch can cause problems such as ejects cassette as soon as it loads, will not accept cassette, fails to load tape around head or partially loads. This new mode-switch circuit board contains the MBK-10-MSW mode switch already mounted, making the installation simpler. Important note: This PC board is original part number 504-052A. Compare that number to the number which appears on the mode switch PC board in your VCR. This part doesn't fit every VCR in this category. This is a new PC board - never used. Your price is $12.00. MBK-10-TRK:	Some of the VCRs covered by our MBK-10 series of parts have a design flaw. Tracking lines will appear that have to be manually adjusted out, or wont adjust out, with some prerecorded tapes. This kit comes with the electronic components and instructions for correcting this problem. Some soldering skills are needed in order to install this kit. MBK-10-PCK:	Our MBK-10-PCK kit contains the pinch roller lift cam and the activation arm. This kit solves a common problem with these units. The lift cam and/or activation arm will wear and cause the assy. to lock up. The most common symptom of this the VCR will fail to accept a cassette, will eject the tape after it loads, or will lock up after loading the cassette. MBK-10-CRK:	We have a carriage repair kit for these Goldstar manufactured VCRs. A spring loaded gear will break where the the spring attaches to it. This kit has the parts needed to repair this problem. Your price is $11.50
VMK-073 Kit	Our VMK-073 maintenance kit contains a replacement belt, pinch roller assembly, and idler gear assembly. These assemblies have a tendency to lose torque and cause play back problems. Your price for the maintenance kit is $21.95. Instructions for installation (PDF)
