MBK-11: Contains the only belt used in these VCRs, built by Goldstar.   A slipping belt will cause problems such as no play, FF, or REW.   Early signs of a worn belt be noise, like tracking, in the picture, stops during play, or fails to REW/FF all the way to the end of tape.   Your price is $1.25. See photo for belt placement MBK-11P: Contains the Capstan/idler belt, this kit also contains a replacement pinch roller. If the pinch roller has never been changed you probably need one. If the pinch roller has a hard glaze on it or the capstan shaft has a black buildup the pinch roller has probably been slipping.  This kit is a complete rubber replacement kit for these VCRs built by Goldstar.  Your price is   $8.00. See photo for parts placement MBK-11-I: Replacement idler.   These VCRs use a fairly stable idler.   If the idler in your VCR has failed we do offer a new replacement idler.   Early signs of a slipping idler will be about the same as a bad belt.   If the belt is OK or been replaced you may need a new idler.   The old idler may warp causing the VCR to fail in play mode.   Your price is $7.50. See photo for parts placement MBK-11-OVH: Our overhaul kit for these VCRs consist of the belt, pinch roller, idler assembly, mode switch, and main cam gear.  This kit solves problems that are started by a faulty mode switch.   The switch will allow the load motor to run to long which cracks the cam gear.   Your price is $26.50 for this kit See photo for parts placement MBK-11-CG: The most common problem with these Goldstar manufactured VCRs is with the cam gear.   When the cam gear cracks or breaks the VCR will fail to load the tape.   The mode switch should be replaced or at least cleaned when the cam gear is replaced.   The mode switch, see MBK-11-MSW, is normally the cause of a broken cam gear in these VCRs.   Your price for a new replacement cam gear is  $7.00. See photo for Cam Gear placement MBK-11-MSW: These Goldstar VCRs have a common problem with the mode switch failing.   When the mode switch fails it allows the loading motor to continue to run after it should have stopped.   This will break the main cam gear causing the problem described at MBK-11-CG above.   The mode switch should be replaced or at least cleaned whenever the cam gear, MBK-11-CG, is replaced.   Your price for a new replacement mode switch is   $9.50.
