JVC, Kenwood, Teac, and Zenith VCR replacement rubber kits.
Your VCR may have the Kenwood, Teac, or Zenith name on it instead of JVC.   The on-line database has been set up to direct you to the proper rubber replacement or Maintenance kit for your VCR.  Even though every precaution has been taken to assure the accuracy of the database, mistakes can be made.  If you have doubts about the pictured VCR being similar to yours please check the chassis photos below.  If you feel that we've made a mistake, please E-Mail us   and let us know.


We have three replacement rubber kits and a couple of common replacement for these VCRs, manufactured by JVC.


MBK-42 Belt Kit

MBK-42:
Belt Kit
 Contains both belts that are used in these VCRs.   The most common symptom of bad belts are the VCR will fail to power up. You may hear a motor running and then the VCR will shutdown.   The VCR may also fail to load tape around the video head.  Your price for our MBK-42 kit is $2.50.

MBK-42 Belt & Tire Kit

MBK-42T:
Rubber Kit
 This kit contains both belts and the idler tire for these JVC VCRs.   The idler tire can cause the VCR to have noise lines in the picture that will not track out.  The tire may cause the VCR to fail to play, fast forward or rewind.  Your for our MBK-42T kit is   $3.50.

MBK-42 Complete Rubber Kit

MBK-42PT:
Complete Rubber Kit
 This kit is a complete rubber replacement kit for these JVC VCRs.   It contains both belts, the idler tire, and the pinch roller.   If the pinch roller has never been replaced you really need one.   If the pinch roller has a hard glaze on it or the capstan shaft has a black build up on it the pinch roller has probably been slipping.   Your price for our MBK-42PT kit is $10.00.

MBK-42-I MBK-42-I:
Idler Assembly
 In most cases you only need to replace the idler tire.  Occasionally the idler assembly will break or the plastic will become worn around the center hub.  Your price for our MBK-42-I is $6.50.

Maintenance Kit
 This Maintenance kit will take care of most common problems with these JVC VCRs.  The kit includes both belts, the pinch roller, and an idler assembly.  Your price for our MBK-42-MNT kit is   $14.50.
