Your VCR may have the NEC, Audio Dynamics, Colortyme, JC Penney, Dumont, Harmon Kardon, Lloyds, Marantz, Vector Research, or Yamaha name.  These VCRs were manufactured by NEC.   The on-line database has been set up to direct you to the proper rubber replacement or Maintenance kit for your VCR.  Even though every precaution has been taken to assure the accuracy of the database, mistakes can be made.  If you have doubts about the pictured VCR being similar to yours please check the chassis photos below.  If you feel that we've made a mistake, please E-Mail us   and let us know.


We have three replacement rubber kits for these VCRs, manufactured by NEC.


MBK-50:
Belt Kit
 Contains all three belts that are used in these VCRs.   The most common symptom of a bad belt is the VCR will shutdown when attempting to play a tape.   You may hear a motor running as the VCR tries to to go into play mode.  Your price for our MBK-50 kit is   $4.50.

MBK-50T:
Rubber Kit
 This kit contains all three belts and the idler tire for these NEC VCRs.   In most cases the tire is the only part of the idler assembly that needs to be replaced.   Your price for our MBK-50T kit is   $5.50.

MBK-50PT:
Complete Rubber Kit
 This kit is a complete rubber replacement kit for these NEC VCRs.   It contains all three belts, the idler tire, and the pinch roller.   If the pinch roller has never been replaced you really need one.   If the pinch roller has a hard glaze on it or the capstan shaft has a black build up on it the pinch roller has probably been slipping.   Your price for our MBK-50PT kit is $12.50.

 VMK-900

 This kit is a complete maintenance kit for these NEC VCRs.   It contains all three belts, the idler assembly, and the pinch roller.   If the pinch roller has never been replaced you really need one.   If the pinch roller has a hard glaze on it or the capstan shaft has a black build up on it the pinch roller has probably been slipping.   Your price for our VMK-900 kit is   $18.95.
