Toshiba, Curtis Mathes VCR replacement rubber kits. The on-line database has been set up to direct you to the proper rubber replacement or Maintenance kit for your VCR. Even though every precaution has been taken to assure the accuracy of the database, mistakes can be made. We have three replacement rubber kits for these VCRs, manufactured by Toshiba.

MBK-52: Belt Kit	Contains both belts that are used in these VCRs. The most common symptom of a bad belt is the VCR will shutdown when attempting to play a tape. You may hear a motor running as the VCR tries to go into play mode. Your price for our MBK-52 kit is $2.95. See photos for belt locations.
MBK-52T: Rubber Kit	This kit contains both belts and the idler tire for these Toshiba VCRs. A bad tire in these VCRs can cause several different problems. The most common being the VCR will shut down when trying to go into play mode. The VCR may also eat tape, spill tape into the VCR, or there may be lines in the picture that will not track out. MBK-52PT: Rubber Kit	This kit is a rubber replacement kit for these Toshiba-made VCRs. It contains both belts, the idler tire, and the pinch roller. If the pinch roller has never been replaced you really need one. If the pinch roller has a hard glaze on it or the capstan shaft has a black build up on it the pinch roller has probably been slipping. Your price for our MBK-52PT kit is $10.95. MBK-52-I: Idler Assembly	In some cases the idler tire is all that needs to be replaced. However, the idlers do fail on occasion as the felt clutch inside wears out. Your price for our MBK-52-I idler assembly is $6.50. See photos for parts locations.
VMK-027B Overhaul Kit	The VMK-027B kit is a complete overhaul kit for these VCRs, consisting of both belts, a new pinch roller and a new idler assembly. The VMK-027B kit sells for $14.95. Instructions for installation (PDF) See photos for parts locations.
DMM-C013 Loading Motor	The DMM-C013 is the exact replacement loading motor from Toshiba for this series of Toshiba models. The bearings in the loading motors in these VCRs will fail after many years of use, and the motor will make a loud grinding sound as the tape loads or unloads. The DMM-C013 motor is $13.95.
