We have two replacement rubber kits for these VCRs manufactured by Sharp.


MBK-55:
Belt Kit

Contains the only belt that is used in these VCRs that were built by Sharp. The MBK-55 kit is $1.25
MBK-55P:
Complete Rubber Kit

This kit is a complete rubber replacement kit for these Sharp VCRs.   It contains the belt and pinch roller.   If the pinch roller has never been replaced you probably need one.   If the pinch roller has a hard glaze on it or the capstan shaft has a black build up on it the pinch roller has probably been slipping.   The MBK-55P kit is $7.75.
Carriage Drive Gear
MBK-55-CDG:

The Carriage drive gear is a common source of problems in this VCR.   This gear will break and cause the VCR to fail to load cassettes properly.   It may load the cassette then refuse to play or fail to load the cassette at all.   The cassette may start into the VCR then kick back out or hang up, any place from fully loaded to fully ejected. The MBK-55-CDG is $4.50.
