MBK-73:
Belt Kit
Our MBK-73 kit contains all four belts that are used in these VCRs.   The belts are used to drive the clutch that drives the reels and for loading and unloading.   Common problems are no play, poor picture, or lines in the picture   It is also common for bad belts to cause the VCR to attempt to power up then shut down.   Your price for our MBK-73 kit is $7.95.

Our MBK-73P kit contains all four belts that are used in these VCRs, plus the pinch roller. The belts are used to drive the clutch that drives the reels and for loading and unloading.   Common problems are no play, poor picture, or lines in the picture   It is also common for bad belts to cause the VCR to attempt to power up then shut down.  

The pinch roller is responsible for accurately and smoothly moving the tape along by pressing the tape against the capstan motor shaft.  Problems with a bad pinch roller include tracking issues, edge-of-tape damage, and intermittent loss of audio/video.     Your price for our MBK-73P kit is $17.95.

Our MBK-73I kit contains all four belts that are used in these VCRs, plus the Idler Assembly. The belts are used to drive the clutch that drives the reels and for loading and unloading.   Common problems are no play, poor picture, or lines in the picture   It is also common for bad belts to cause the VCR to attempt to power up then shut down. 

The idler is responsible for turning both the supply tape reel and the take-up tape reel.    Problems with the idler can cause slow or incomplete rewind/fast-forward, tape shutdown, tape eating, and tape left hanging out of the cassette upon removal.    Your price for our MBK-73I kit is $21.95.
